The bracelet engages the senses in a fuller way, inviting touch, manipulation and play; physical realities sadly diminished by an ever-increasing virtual experience of life.
It may be worn as a bracelet encircling the wrist, and by removing the securing pin can be worn as a pendant; unfolded, or with the segments reformed into a cross, or as the original square, thus providing several wearing possibilities. The pin is reinserted and is used for attaching a neckwire when worn as a pendant.
The contemporary geometric design was influenced by the cultural and material environment encountered whilst studying abroad in Latvia, thereby resonating postmodernist and brutalist architecture.
‘Tactility’ invites the wearer into an interactive space beyond passivity into creativity.
Inspired by European minimalist design, multifunctionality, and interaction; ‘Tactility’ is a contemporary collection offering different wearing possibilities, and facilitating natural curiosity in this digital age, through touch.
